A linoprint of a sunflower mounted in a light oak frame

Sunflower linoprint

This limited edition original reduction linoprint features a sunflower (Helianthus Annuus). The head of the sunflower follows the sun across the sky throughout the day, and they appear in the folklore of many cultures, associated with positive energy, prosperity and vitality.

A symbol of summer, it's hard not to fall for the giant, colourful blooms of the sunflower. This piece tries to capture a joyous full bloom, standing proud, and the delicate patterns of the flower head.

This is a four layer reduction print, where each colour is printed on top of the last to gradually build up tone and form, and the lino block gradually carved away. Once finished, the lino block can no longer be used, resulting in a limited edition print that can't be recreated again.

Limited edition of six prints on Japanese HoSho paper with hand torn edges. 297 x 242 mm (10.9 in x 9.5 in).

You can buy this item as a standalone print, add a mount to slot into any A3 frame, or add a solid oak frame so it's ready to hang straight onto your wall.
